Jio introduces a new Disney+ Hotstart mobile plan but is limited to select users

Jio, India’s largest telecom network, has launched a new Rs 279 cricket add-on pack that brings Disney+ Hotstar mobile subscription that is worth Rs 499. This comes just in time for IPL 2022, which is scheduled to begin on March 26th. This will allow Jio customers to watch the action live and are not required to get a subscription separately. However, the new Rs 279 plan has a catch. It is available only to a select few users and not everyone, at least not yet. The company is pushing a banner ad via the MyJio app to eligible users and they can recharge via the app.
Jio had recently launched the Rs 499 and Rs 1499 recharge packs that offer Disney+ Hotstar subscription free of cost. Firstly, the Rs 1,499 plan comes with a 1-year Disney+ Hotstar premium subscription, unlimited voice calls to any network, 100 SMS each day, 2GB daily data, and 84 days validity. The Rs 499 plan comes with a Disney+ Hotstar mobile subscription plan, 3GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS each day, and 28 days of validity. These come in addition to the existing Rs 601, Rs 799, and Rs 4199 plans that also come with a Disney+ Hotstar subscription.
